1980s Vintage Pauline Trigere Black Coat w/ Red Trim - Sm to Md

$115.00

WOW! An incredible piece from the designer Pauline Trigere. Pauline Trigère (1908/9 – 2002) was born in Paris and immigrated to the United States in 1937. She reinvented ready-to-wear fashion, matching form to function with bold prints and architectural silhouettes to create a distinctly modern female aesthetic. Her garments were known for sophisticated and structured tailoring -- always elegant but never frilly or fussy -- and the best of these were her coats and dresses made from fine wools. For more information on her visit the Vintage Fashion Guild.

This incredible 1980s coat is such an incredibly constructed piece. This piece is made of a heavy wool, lined with a silky satin. This classic black winter coat is such a wonderful piece- versatile and classically elegant - but the hints of ted trim along the collar, pockets, and sleeves add a fun little aspect transforming this coat into what one would expect in a Trigere design. There are even deep functional pockets! Coat buttons up the front. Best fits sizes Small to Medium. Model is modern size 4/6.
