If a garment is labeled vintage it is generally assumed that the piece is 20 years old or older. As such, these pieces are rare - sometimes even collector items - adding character to anyone’s wardrobe. But keep in mind, these items are pre-loved. They can have flaws and imperfections due to their age, previous wear, or how they were stored in the past. They can have repairs (past or present) and they will need continuous mending and care to keep them around for decades to come. This love and care is what makes them perfectly imperfect and is what adds character to any wardrobe!
With that in mind, I carefully select (and if need be, repair where I can) all vintage pieces before listing. All listings have photos and descriptions, which contain measurements and the items condition.
I follow the bellow scale when providing a garments condition. This is to serve as a guide ONLY and to give you an understanding of how I categorize things, but it is by no means an exhaustive list of what can go wrong with a garment within each category. Remember that these items are old, sometimes over 100 years old! So just keep this in mind when reading descriptions as the fabric can be very delicate! I try to add additional details and photos to a listing when I can:
Mint Condition : Absolutely pristine - looks like its brand new and was never worn.
Excellent Condition: In great shape with maybe some very minor flaws like a tiny pin prick or snag. Generally some evidence that it was worn at least once in the past.
Good Condition: There are some issues like holes or popped seam and/or overall wear. There can also be evidence of repairs made. Importantly however, the garment can be worn without needing to be fully reworked. While the degree or quantity of flaws within this category may very, MOST VINTAGE CLOTHING BELONGS IN THIS CATEGORY.
Fair Condition: This garment has some issues. As it stands the garment is either not wearable and/or it better serves as a study piece. That being said, generally speaking there is likely some major work needed to make the garment wearable. Some examples may be of a piece that has some major color fade and needs to be re-dyed or perhaps an antique item with some major holes making this piece better served as a study or costume.
Please note that item color may vary from screen to screen. I indicate color as best as I can in title/description.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to email me through the contact forum.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled, unless stated otherwise. This means that these measurements are then technically an approximation for various reasons including these types of measurements generally cannot account for things like pleating and darting. I do try to provide a corresponding letter size (i.e. XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X etc.), but keep in mind many vintage pieces were hand-made, fitted to their previous owner and/or were intended to be worn with foundation garments (i.e. bullet bras, girdles, corsets, etc.), so sizing will usually not match up perfectly with modern standard letter sizes, and sometimes pieces even fall in between modern sizes. Additionally, I do work off of and compare garment sizes with a standard sizing chart for my own reference point. Keep in mind this chart may not always align with modern brands you buy from.
To ensure the best fit PLEASE double check your measurements when purchasing. It is always best to allow for a bit of wiggle room. Unlike with modern brands most vintage pieces have NO GIVE - so keep this in mind when checking measurements unless I state otherwise in a listing. It is generally easier to get a piece taken in, rather than taken out - although alterations can change the look of a piece. If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Note, some garments are pinned on model and dress forms to keep them on, so make sure to check the measurements. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask!
If item is not a piece of clothing (accessories, home goods, etc.), measurements are done as length, width, and height (if needed).

All items are Final Sale. Due to the nature, rarity, and delicacy of vintage pieces, no returns will be accepted at this time. These pieces are all vintage, they are all used, unless explicitly stated an item is in MINT Condition, expect some wear. Please make sure to read the description AND look at photos as these should be used as a COMBINATION to understand a garments condition. In many cases, I cannot add photos for EVERY SINGLE flaw as only so many photos are allowed on this platform. Please accept that I am human and double check measurements and all information before purchasing. Measurements, descriptions, and photos are all done to the best of my ability and I take great care and time looking over everything. Measurements are however approximations. You can read more about sizing in the sizing tab. Should you have any questions about a garment before purchase, please do not hesitate to contact me at astitchintimeless@gmail.com

All domestically orders will be shipped through USPS to reduce carbon emissions – they already come to your address almost every day! Free Shipping for domestic orders only is available at checkout, though if you need an item faster buyer can pay for more expedited shipping. While I do tend to ship out next business day, please allow me 1-3 business days for processing times in case life gets in the way. If I’m on holiday (which rarely happens) the top banner on my website and my IG will tell you when next to expect a shipment out!
Please only email or DM me if you are seriously interested in international shipping. Shipping internationally is ALWAYS going to be expensive. Due to the nature of international shipping (i.e. size of package, weight of the garment, and where the parcel is going), it is impossible to come up with a standardized price for international shipping. However if you are SERIOUSLY interested, please let me know. I do actually take the time to go out and get you an accurate quote. Once I obtain the quote, I will email you back and then add the shipping & handling estimate for you to select at checkout. Another option is utilizing a freight forwarding service. HOWEVER, if you insist upon using a freight forwarding service, I will not be held responsible for any issues you have. Additionally and regardless of what method you choose, I will not be held responsible for any issues that arise after I drop the package off for shipment. Please always remember that in addition to buyer paying all international shipping and handling fees, the buyer (you) are ALSO responsible for paying any taxes, duties, or fees that is required for you to receive your package. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
To check on the status of your package, a tracking number for the purchased item(s) will be sent to the email that was provided at the time of purchase, once the order has been processed.
We will not be held liable or responsible for items lost, damaged, or stolen during their shipment, or if an item is stated as delivered via tracking but has not been found by recipient. Once the item is in the hands of USPS, any following action regarding shipping issues will need to be taken to USPS. If a package is returned to us for any reason (i.e. incorrect address/unclaimed/etc.), we will have to charge a shipping fee again in order to send the package back out. Any orders totaling over five hundred dollars require a signature upon arrival.
