1930s 1940s Vintage Navy Blue Front Zip Up Hostess Dress - Sm to Md
This lovely taffeta (feels and sounds like taffeta) is such an adorable little day dress. But it’s also easy to dress up for a night out. The dress zips up the front with an oh so sexy little zipper. The detailing at the collar and sleeve demonstrate that this is truly a unique little gem. The lace detailing at the sleeves is just so chic - but if you prefer, it looks like it could also be removed. The original shoulder and armpit pads are inside the piece still- but they too could be removed. No tags inside garment. Model is modern size 4/6 .

Good vintage condition - Expected overall wear to fabric, especially for its age. It does wrinkle easily so hang up as soon as receiving! There are a few pulls at the seams and some small holes in the piece, especially along the hem. One small “hole” or seam pull on shoulder. VERY MINOR color fade / discoloration on the sleeve that wouldn’t photograph well sorry!. The lace detailing in the sleeve looks like a post-market add on by the original owner (though still very lovely!) and has some wear. You will likely want to remove the underarm pads. Minor marks on the back fabric too, especially near the shoulders.
