NEW OLD STOCK 1950s 1960s Vintage Black Ball Band Pullover Slip On Galoshes or Boots with Grey Trim- Size 8

$75.00

I love this style of boot! I wish we still had these as common place items today as it really is the best way to be functional AND wear your heels still in the snow! They are predominately rubber with a grey wool trim- the wool is said to be treated to be waterproof based upon the little paper it came with. These shoes are stamped "8" on the bottom of the boots. I assume that is the size, but given they are meant to be pulled on over other shoes, I am not sure how exactly one determines proper fit. So please see measurements below. Shoe label is for " Ball Band Thermo Lite". Measurements are also shown in photos.

Measurements:

-Heel: The heels are not actually heels, just an outline as you are meant to wear heeled shoes INSIDE these boots to protect them. Just for your reference though, the heel outline is about 1.75 inches tall.

-Length: They measure about 9.5 inches long from end of toes to heel - again this is a flat measurement as there is no hight to the heel.

-Ball of foot: They measure about 3.25 inches across at the balls of the feet.

Excellent vintage condition - These are new old stock items. There is just a tiny bit of wear to the wool and a few faint marks from storage and inside discoloration also found.

Wearing vintage shoes is so much fun as you can never find shoes like these now days, BUT please take note that this also causes wear and damage. As such vintage shoes will ALWAYS need constant maintenance (glue, re-sole, etc.) from a professional cobbler to keep them in working order.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!

Summaries about an item's condition are stated above and should be used in conjunction with the images provided. BUT for more information about what different vintage condition categories mean and what to expect generally, please refer to the FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have further questions.
