1950s 1960s Vintage Light Turquoise Blue & Silver Embroidered Cocktail Dress - Md to Lg
This gorgeous cocktail dress would be great for the holidays. The silver threading as an almost antiqued silver look and it threads through the light blue turquoise fabric in a lovely pattern, really making the dress shine! The fabric feels like silk and the embroidery is likely lurex. The piece zips up the back with a metal zipper. The skirt portion is lined with what feels like organza cotton. There was no maker label. It would likely best fit a modern Medium to Large, though please see measurements as the chest is on the smaller size. Model is a modern 4/6 and dress form is a modern medium for reference.

Measurements :
Bust: 35 inches (with the darting you could probably add another 1 inch to this amount) - model is a 34B for reference.
Natural Waist: 31 inches (the actual seam is higher up -basically an under bust- and measures about the same)
Hips: 40 inches
Length: 45 inches
Sleeve Length: about 5 inches (there is no shoulder seam to measure from)
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. There are a few areas of markings and discoloration found that did not come out with cleaning. The most notable of this is at one underarms, though it is still a relatively small area. A few areas of pulls and loose pieces to the embroidery threads. Some of these areas have cause a bit of bunching to the fabric underneath. Some small pulls to the fabric also found. Some wear to the inner seam allotments as well as discoloration on the inside of the garment. There is a snap found on the exterior of the piece in the back that does no longer goes to anything - I suspect it was to once keep a draped shoulder scarf in place. I have left it in place in case you would like to use it for the same purpose.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
