1950s Vintage Royal Blue Velveteen Party Dress- Sm
A lovely winter holiday velvet party dress. The gathering at the bodice is enhanced by a lovely bow and a tiny little v cut. The skirt is great for twirling around in and the 3/4 length sleeves have the loveliest gathering detail. Zips up the back with a metal zipper. Color is like a royal blue and fabric feels like velveteen (a lower pile velvet basically). The dress has what looks like a handmade after market addition. There is no label or size tag. It would likely best fit a modern small. The model is modern size 4/6.

Good vintage condition - Presents beautifully and can be worn as is, but there is some overall wear and discoloration which was really difficult to capture in images given the fabric type. There are some faint marks and tiny spots of wear and crushing to the velvet as well. The added slip was not hemmed in the same manor as the velveteen fabric, though based on how it was stitched into the dress it looks original. Some minor wear to interior, including some marks to slip and yellowing at the underarms (also difficult to capture in photos given sheen of fabric). Priced to reflect issues. The slip did poke out a tiny bit.
