1950s Vintage Lofties by Lawrence Fuschia Pink Sweater Cashmere Collar - Xs to Sm

$115.00

A coveted 50s Lofties knit… in fuchsia! The Lofties brand produced some of THE BEST knits in my opinion, and this little gem is no exception! The figure hugging sweater is in the prettiest pink. The sweater even has a lovely collar detailing in what feels to be cashmere or angora- with some rhinestone button detailing! The sweater buttons up the front and features an ever so slight dolmen sleeve, which creates that coveted and sleek silhouette! There are belt loops, but the original belt is sadly gone. Label is for “Lofties by Lawrence” and fabric is wool chenille. There is some give to the fabric. It would likely best fit a modern Extra Small or Small. For reference model is modern size 4/6 for reference.

Measurements :

  • Bust: about 36 inches pit to pit not stretched (model is 34 b, but it does have that dolman sleeve).

  • Waist: 25 - 28 inches

  • Hem: 26-32 inches

  • Length: 19 inches

  • Sleeve Length: 15 inches

Good vintage condition - Overall wear to sweater with minor pilling and pulls to knit, though it is a chunkier texture to begin with so it is not too obvious. Minor marks to tag and the inside underarms. The most obvious flaw is some pulling of the button cover fabric to the second to bottom button. Some of the rhinestones on the collar are either cloudy or not as brilliant as others. It looks like there may have been a few teeny tiny mends here and there in the past, but honestly its difficult to tell - I have provided some images at the end of what I mean. The cashmere of the angora collar likes to shed a bit.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
