1960s 1970s Vintage Vera Neumann Silk Blouse - Md to Lg
This lovely vintage blouse is a great example of the fun vintage patterns and designs you get with a Vera piece! Based on Vera stamp on the silk it’s from the mid 60s as the “Vera” signature is about the same size as the lady bug, but the Vera tag suggest possibly 70s- were they using dead stock fabric to make the tops? or were they just in the midst of logo and label changes? whose to say. . . Regardless, the light silk fabric, coupled with the floral green and blue pattern makes this a great piece for warm weather! Plus the lovely collar is a great touch. The top is a pull over with a partial zip in the back. Label is for Vera (Neumann) and tag says vintage size 16. it was originally intended to be a bit blousy. Would likely best fit a modern medium, possibly a Large, though please see measurements to factor in how blousy you like your tops. Fabric is silk, it is thin and as such it is likely delicate, so keep this in mind for fit as it is a pullover! For reference, model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is a modern Medium.

Measurements :
Bust: 42 inches
Waist: 41 inches
Length: about 24 inches (it is a curved edge at the sides)
Sleeve Length: 18 inches
Good vintage condition - This piece presents beautifully but has some general overall wear. There are a few marks and areas of minor discoloration on the piece that would not come out with cleaning (the edges of sleeves and at the hem is the most obvious to me). The interior seam allotment seem to be in good shape - the silk edges inside the garment only show minor wear. Not a flaw, but from the silk weaving process you can see some “brushed” effect in the texture of the piece. There are some areas where there is slight color outside the flower lines, I am uncertain if this is very minor color run or intentional to the print. It is hard to tell regardless unless you look closely. Garment will need to be hung as soon as received to minimize wrinkles.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
