1950s 1960s Vintage Colorful Psychedelic Chartreuse Geometric Abstract Wiggle Sheath Dress - Sm
From the late 50s or early 60s - So fun and bright and the multiple colors will make this fun to accessorize! The expert work of the bodice is stunning. it is actually an additional panel of fabric for the cowl neck that is attached to the front - allowing for the interior to actually hold you in and be able to bend forward without issue. The overall silhouette is just stunning and classic. But the fun colors and pattern, gives this almost a modern look. Zips up the side with a talon metal zipper. Feels like polished cotton - it has an ever so slight sheen. There are no tags to indicate maker. Best fits a Small. Model is modern size 4/6 and it was just a tad tight.

Measurements :
Bust: 35 inches/ 36 tight
Waist: 26 inches
Hips: 37 inches max with pleats pulled
Length: 41 inches
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to item but this piece presents beautifully. Some wear to the fabric of the interior seam allotment and where the hem is stitched on the inside. There also includes some minor pulling to some of the seems. It’s so small my camera would not pick it up with zoom- I do apologize. Despite the above issues, all the stitching does seem to be holding up at present- even after a wash! There are some minor spots and there may be some discoloration found too especially at the underarms - but honestly it may also just be part of the pattern as you can see in the last image some of the pattern naturally has an intended regular “faded” segment throughout, almost like a water color.
All measurements are approximate - taken flat and doubled where needed (bust, waist, hips) unless otherwise stated.
