1960s Vintage Winkelman's Cream Floppy Straw Sun Hat with Taupe Roses
A lovely sun hat for those summertime weddings or picnic festivities! The creamy straw is a summertime staple and will go with many things. The taupe faux flowers add a lovely little vintage aesthetic. Plus this lovely little piece has a wide brim, with the perfect amount of flop so it should double for some fairly decent sun protection. I think the thicker edges and crown are real straw (or some other fibrous material), though I am not certain about the main portion of the brim. Label is for Winkleman’s.

Measurements:
Interior circumference: about 21 inches (although for reference models head is 21.5 and it works well enough)
Depth: about 4 inches
Diameter of hat (for total brim): about 16.5 inches
Good Vintage Condition - The hat presents beautifully but there is some overall general wear. There are a few marks to the piece, these were slightly difficult to capture but please refer to photos of brim and the inside crown. There are also a few loose threads and tiny pulls to the edges of the straw that do not seem to impact wear. The flowers, especially their edges, show some wear as well as slight discoloration. There is a few spots were the glue is visible when examined closely. Additionally the tag is coming off partially. Ever so slight bend to the brim, does not seam noticeable when worn because of the flop!
