1970s Vintage Pale Yellow Swiss Dot Empire Waist Maxi Dress Gown - XXS or Juniors Youth
This gorgeous and elegant pastel yellow maxi dress or gown is perfect for those summer weddings or picnics in the park! The lace and the subtle Swiss-dot print across the chest and on the hem is so cute! The top layer feels like a cotton or cotton blend, the lining is some sort of synthetic - perhaps nylon? The empire waist with lace details is such an elegant touch. The floor length dress zips up the back with metal zipper. Has a union tag (70s one) so I am guessing despite metal zipper it is an early 70s dress. Tag says vintage size 5, so it would likely best fit an Extra Extra Small. Model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is size 0 and it could not be zipped up in back - zipper does work though!

Approximate Measurements :
Bust: 26/27 (tight) inches
(empire) Waist: 24 inches
Hips: 31 inches
Length: 58 inches
Good Vintage Condition- Overall wear. There is some minor marks and spotting to the piece both on the lining and the main body of the dress - many were very difficult to capture due to faintness. Near the zipper there is some pulling and wear to the fabric - as though a zipper got caught perhaps. I have tried to show this in a series of images so you can see both a close up as well as what it looks like from a slight distance. I don’t think it will be too noticeable when the dress is worn.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
