1960s Vintage Blue & Green Floral House Dress / Top - Md
WOW! The colors on this gauzy cotton piece are just so fun! The floral pattern in the turquoise and lime green colors give off all the Spring and Summer vibes! Long sleeves with fun frills that match the collar! It buttons partially down the front. There is a tag, but it is worn and I cannot make out the maker. The body of the dress is lined with another layer of cotton, but the sleeves and collar are the sheer cotton only. Given it was probably a house dress, it is likely meant to be worn a bit loosely. would likely best fit a modern size Medium. Model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is a medium for reference.

Measurements when buttoned:
Bust: up to 40 inches
Waist: up to 38 inches
Hips: about 40 inches, but there is a front slit
Length: 38 inches
Sleeve Length: 22 inches
Fair vintage condition - This piece is so fun and presents beautifully. But I have given it a “fair” designation as it looks like it has had a bit of work/modifications done to it. Would make a great costume. Please refer to photos. There is some overall wear and and pilling with some small marks that did not come out when washed. Most notably on one button and the hem. It looks like this used to be a full house dress, but was modified to be more like a long top. As you can see in the photos there are now just 4 buttons with an abrupt change to the way the fabric is cut going down to the hem (the last 3 photos try to demonstrate what I mean by this). Inside the garment there is a lot of fraying, though this is not seen when the garment is worn. There are also a few places where seams are “popping” or coming loose and it does look like its been re- hemmed in places at some point. I recommend spot cleaning and hand washing only! Belt loops in tact but the original belt is missing.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
