UNIQUE 1940s 1950s Brown Crochet Covered Leather Box Purse or Handbag
A lovely vintage handbag with a unique brown crochet overlay. I am guessing that this was an after market addition to the leather bag, but wow its LOVELY. It does not come off as it appears to be stitched to the bag. The interior is like a folder, having many slots, with the center having a zipper. Closure is a silver tone clasp on top. It should easily fit most modern smart phones, but please see measurements.

measures about 7.75 inches across x 5.5 inches tall (not including handles) x 4 inches wide (at the widest point)
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to item. There are a few loose threads from the crochet and on the inside of the lining that do not seem to impact wear or function. There is some faint color fade to the piece. The leather bag that the crochet covers has a tiny bit of wear and dents to it that are minimally seen through the crochet. The dent near the top can be felt from the interior. Minor tarnish and scratches to the metal closure and zipper inside.
