1930s 1940s Vintage "Another Sun Gay Wash Frock" Burgundy Swiss Dot Shirt Waist Day Dress - Xl ; 1X
So cute and simple - this dress in its warm burgundy color features a lovely cream Swiss-dot pattern. It even has a little cream cotton detailing on the sleeves and pockets! Label for "Another Sun Gay Wash Frock". Buttons on the front at the bodice, with matching belt to cinch waist. There are no zippers, so it is a pullover and as such this would likely best fit a modern Extra Large, possibly a 1X. For reference dress form is modern Medium and model is modern size 4/6. The dress is pretty sheer in what feels like a cotton, so you may want to wear a slip.

Good to Fair vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress and evidence of past repairs but it does present beautifully. Please note, this dress is almost 100 years old, and the fabric is a very loosely woven cotton, so it is going to be VERY delicate and will likely need continuous care and likely mending as well. The swiss-dot pattern at the underarms has worn off, though this issue should not be noticeable when worn. There is some minor discoloration to the dress, as well as some marks. The detailing at the pockets and sleeves is a slightly different color and shows wear as well as some repairs. As stated above, there are areas of past repairs, some are more obvious repairs to old holes in the dress as well as seam pops. The seams still show a bit of wear in places too given the loose weave nature of the fabric. Additionally, there are still a few smaller pin holes found as well as small snags and pulls. Wear and scratches to the plastic buttons and belt buckle.
