1970s Vintage "The Villager" Green Polkadot Mini Dress- Sm
The Villager is probably one of my favorite brands from the 70s! This cute 70s green minidress is very reminiscent of a tennis outfit! It buttons up the front in a faux wrap style. Please note, model forgot to button last button when modeling, but button is there! The pointed collar and the pleated front really finish off this flirty look! The fabric feels like cotton. Would likely best fit a modern day Small. While tag says size 12, it is a vintage size 12 so please read measurements below. Model is modern size 4-6 for reference.

Measurements :
Bust: 34 inches / 35 tight
Waist : 27 inches
Hips: about 36 inches
Length: 34 inches
Good Vintage Condition- Overall wear to the piece. Some marks and pilling and one tiny pinpoint hole found. Some color fade also present as well. The most noticeable issue is the yellowing to the collar as well as some yellowing to the green area of the dress . Interestingly, the yellowing did not show up under my office or studio lights, just the natural light by my window. I tried to demonstrate it the best I could with photos. The area hidden behind a pleat where it acts as a faux wrap has some minor pulling and mending happening (pictured). It should not affect wear though, but please see last photo.
It’s not a flaw, but how it’s made- you may want to add a few snaps where the faux wrap meets on the skirt, just for more closure/comfort. It sometimes likes to gape on its own the way it is now, but I would just wear shorts if it was me. I left as is so you can make the decision though.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
