UNIQUE 1930s 1940s Vintage Dark Sapphire Blue Velvet Dress with Gold Embellishments- Xs to Sm
This lovely late 1930s 1940s velvet dress is absolutely incredible. The detailing at the waist is just jaw dropping. the additional golden detailing at the shoulders is absolutely breathtaking. Zips up the side, snap closures at the back and a tie at the waist in the back. No tags, likely hand made. Would best fit an Extra Small to Small as it is still a pullover garment. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference.

Good Vintage Condition - Presents beautifully and seems to be in good shape considering its age. But this is very old velvet and is delicate and may be best for costume, study, or collection. There is some overall wear to this piece including some repairs - hence why I say its delicate. Repairs have been made to the back seams at the shoulders, so one needs to be careful putting this on as it is a pullover! A few small marks, loose threads and wear spots are present throughout garment inside and out. There are white marks from the adhesive used to repair the piece on the inside of the garment. Some tiny pinholes were also found on the bottom of the skirt. Some of the you can see some to the stitching at som seams as well as some frayed bits of velvet at the repaired seams. Overall, it looks to be in good shape for its age, but it is old and it will be delicate. You need to wear and store it carefully as its at least 80 year old, possibly 90+ year old velvet!
