RARE 1930s Vintage Black Leaf Lace Formal Dress Gown - Xs to Sm
WOW! Definitely a piece for a vintage collector. The lovely sheer black gown is a great piece to stun at any event! It can be worn with our without a slip, depending on how daring you wish to be! I could see it being absolutely gorgeous with a black bodysuit underneath. The dress is a pull-over, but it does also zip up the side with metal zipper. Fabric feels like a cotton netting with floral or leaf ‘lace”pattern throughout (see close up). It is completely sheer and very delicate. There are straps inside, near the shoulders. I highly recommend getting assistance given its delicacy so that its easier to put this on and not mix up the strap and armholes. Model is shown with slip (which is not part of this piece). There is no size or maker tag, but Taylon zipper looks like it comes from the mid to late 30s. Would likely best fit a modern Extra Small or Small. For reference model is modern women’s size 4/6. Dress form is size 0.

Good vintage condition - Some overall wear. Great shape for its age and fabric type, but please note it is super DELICATE! The sheer fabric does have some wear. Some small areas of holes. There are also some areas where the “lace” is coming loose and some loose threads here and there. Some faint spotting to piece. The collar does like to flop a bit.
