UNIQUE 1940s 1950s Charcoal Grey Skirt with Red & White Stripes and Belt - XS
This lovely vintage grey skirt is very unique. The piece features a red and white striped side panel that give it a bit more flare. Additionally there is a small attached belt that was made to match the piece. The skirt zips with a metal zipper and buttons up the back. The belt is sewn on. Fabric feels like cotton. There are no labels, but based upon the style, cut, hemline, and zipper, the skirt is likely from the 1940s or 50s. To my eye it looks like they took a 40s a-line skirt and added a fun panel later on (probably the 50s). So it does look like it was handmade (evidence of a lot of very skilled hand-stitching) though by a skilled seamstress. It would likely best fit a modern Extra Small. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference - waist was very tight.

Measurements :
Waist: 24 inches
Hips: Somewhat open given the style
Length: 23 inches
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the piece. Some minor color fade - like what is expected with something washed many times. There were a few marks, pills to the fabric in places, and tiny pinholes found. When looking up close, you can see there was a small repair to what was likely a back seam pop. Some minor loose threads and wear to the seam allotments of the interior. Fabric does like to wrinkle, so I recommend hangin it up right away upon receiving.
All measurements are approximate - taken flat and doubled where needed (bust, waist, hips) unless otherwise stated.
