$215.00

For the collector - This lovely turquoise blue, green, and gold Mexican Circle Skirt is truly a gem! From the lovely brand of Maya De Mexico - it even has a pocket!! These gorgeous circle skirts cant be beat, and this color way is one I have never seen before! The fun pattern is almost like an abstract under the sea coral and kelp design. Feels like cotton. Skirt has a metal zipper and hook closures at the side - there are additional threaded eyes if you need to let it out some, though then there may be a gap at the waist. This skirt was made in the 1950s in Mexico City on Insurgentes - its fun when you get an exact address with vintage labels! While the label says vintage size 14, it would likely best fit s a modern Extra Small, Maybe a Small. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference - waist was a bit tight.

Measurements :

  • Waist : 26 inches (no give - but you can always move the hooks in to make it a tad smaller)

  • Hips: open given its a circle skirt

  • Length: 26.5 to 27 inches

Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the piece. There are some small marks and spots here and there that did not come out with cleaning. The skirt also shows ever so slight discoloration/ fade in a few places -common for pieces that have been washed a few times. There is one spot where the gold paint has become dark - likely from prior owner ironing it. There is a slight bunching to the skirts hem, but not noticeable when worn. Hem is ever so slightly longer on one side (a common thing fir true circle skirts) - this is how it was made (likely by hand)!! If you put a crinoline underneath this should not be noticeable at all! One zipper tooth is missing near the base, but it seems to still zip up just fine.

All measurements are approximate - taken flat and doubled where needed (bust, waist, hips) unless otherwise stated. An items conditions is summarized above, but for more information outlining what to expect within each condition category type and what this means please refer to my FAQ & Policies page.
