1950s Vintage Squared Collar Navy Blue Sheath Wiggle Business Dress- Xs to Petite Sm
Classic and simple navy blue sheath or wiggle dress - great for the office or a night out. The squared neckline and front pleats are a nice finishing touch. Zips up the side with a metal zipper. Dress has no label or size tags. Fabric feels like cotton - has a fun intentional brushed look to it with specks of white and black. There is no give to the fabric. Given the side zip, it is still a pull over the head piece, so keep this in mind for sizing. Would likely best for between an Extra Small and possibly a Petite Small - but please se measurements! Model is modern size 4/6 for reference and it was a tad tight and felt short in the torso on her.

Measurements :
Bust: 34 inches
Waist: 25.5 inches
Hips:32- 36 inches (it depends on how much you stretch out the pleats like on model…)
Sleeve Length: capped (about 2 inches - no seam to measure from)
Length: 35 inches (measured from back of collar, down)
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress with possibly slight color fade. But I will be honest, the specks of white and black woven in the fabric makes this really hard to determine for sure- which is a good thing!! The interior lining has some discoloration and wear, exhibiting some loose threads, past mends, and a teeny hole at an underarms found both in the lining as well as a tiny bit on the exterior of the dress (photographed) - but none of this should affect wear. Fabric does like to wrinkle, so have a steamer handy!
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
