1950s 1960s Vintage Black Winter Dress with Fur Collar - Md to Lg
Cozy and chic! What more could you want this winter? This classic black dress features a gorgeous fur collar (I believe its mink) and long sleeves that come to a sleek point. The fabric feels like wool but it does have a backing internally, which essentially acts as a lining. The dress zips up the back with a metal zipper. No label or size tags were found. It would likely best fit a modern Medium, possibly a Large but please see measurements! The fabric does have a bit of give. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference.

Hips: 37 inches
Length: 38 inches (measured from back, straight down)
Sleeve Length: 22.5 inches (measured to end of ‘v”)
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. The fabric has a bit of fuzzing or minor pilling overall. A few very faint marks too that did not come out with cleaning. The collar itself I believe to be hand stitched after market addition - its vintage and added by a prior owner to the dress, but it does not look original to the dress. There is some wear to the collar and some of the fur does not go the same direction. The interior of the dress shows some wear, especially to the inner seam allotments and there are a few small holes noted too. There was once a panel of a paper backing sewn into the dress to give added structure but I took as much of it out as possible as it was not in good shape - but I just want to note it because you can still see a tiny bit of evidence of it in the inner seams inside the dress (last photo). Some of the small holes do show through to the exterior of the dress. Some evidence of past mends to seams - some in blue thread for some reason, but I didn’t want to undo it as it feels structurally sound and was not super obvious to my eye.
