1950s Vintage Blue Cotton Square Button Shirt Waist Summer Dress - Sm
Nothing is better in the summer than a cotton vintage dress. This front button shirt waist dress is a great addition to any collectors everyday wardrobe. Soft almost sky blue cotton with lovely pink and white detailing at the hem. It buttons up the front with square white buttons. Sleeves can be worn cuffed or un-cuffed. No labels found. It would likely best fit a modern Small. For reference model is modern size 4/6.

Bust: 35 inches/36 inches tight
Waist: 25 inches/ 26 inches tight
Hips: relatively open given style
Length: 39 inches
Sleeve Length cuffed: 9 inches
Sleeve Length not cuffed: 12 inches
Good to fair vintage condition - Presents beautifully and is still wearable, but there is some overall wear to the dress. Some repairs have been made - including having “new” vintage buttons added as the prior ones did not match. Repair to a seam rip at the base of where the dress buttons, but it should function as intended now! I have added 3 pictures of what this area looks like now at the end of the photos. It also looks like there have been numerous repairs to the button holes - they seem to function now as intended. There is some overall faint discoloration to the dress (including the collar and underarms) as well as some spots that did not come out with cleaning. I tried to demonstrate this as best as possible, but not everything showed up on camera well. One small hole found in the skirt. Some wear to the seams, most notable pilling on the outside and expected wear to the interior seam allotments.
Remember, vintage is delicate! And given the repairs both found and made I would just say be mindful getting in and out so as to not accidentally pop a seam or anything.
