1950s Vintage Fuchsia & Teal Bradshaw-Dielh Co. Bouclè Wool Short Coat or Jacket - Lg to XL

$125.00

This late 50s shorter coat or jacket is so perfect for any mid-century look! The vibrant fuchsia and teal colors are so much fun together, woven in a sort of plaid with a bouclè-like texture. This would be great to pair with jeans, dress pants, or a fun dress! It is pretty cozy, but the shorter length doesn’t make it too warm. The jacket is lined with a lovely satin fabric and the coat even has pockets! Tag says “Bradshaw-Dielh Co.” It would likely best fit a modern Large as I think this fit was originally intended to be a bit loose, but you may possibly be able to go up to an Extra Large for a more fitted look. As always please refer to measurements. Remember too, you want coats to be a bit loose to accommodate the clothing underneath. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference.

Measurements when buttoned:

  • Bust: 42 inches

  • Waist: 41 inches

  • Hem: 47 inches (sits lower than hips on model)

  • Sleeve Length: 23 inches

  • Length: 31 inches (from back of collar and down)

Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the piece. The tag has been restitched on many times by the look of it and it is also fraying on one side. A few pulls, a couple loose threads and some wear to the exterior, but for the most part the bumpy texture of the weave hides this pretty well. I found this piece without buttons (unfortunately) so the shell buttons that have been added are vintage but not original to the coat. Minor wear to buttons. You may want to change these - I did my best to match the color, but I had the darnedest time finding the right shade of fuchsia, apologies! The interior lining shows the most wear and while I think it functions ok for now, you may want to give it some attention in future. Some of the inner seams in the inside lining exhibit wear and pulls. There are also some marks and pinholes to the interior. Priced more gently to reflect the interior wear.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
