1950s Vintage Simple Black Wool Autumn and Winter Dress - Sm
Simple, yet elegant and cozy. A black wool dress is the perfect staple for a winter vintage wardrobe. The sheath- like silhouette with the unique collar adds just the right amount of extra detail needed to make this dress unique! The dress zips at the side. with metal zipper. There is evidence that there was once a tag in the piece, but it has since been ripped out. Would likely best fit a modern small. For reference model is modern women’s size 4/6.

Good to fair vintage condition - Some overall wear and pilling to the piece. Some major work has been done to the zipper and the base of the zipper as it is apparent that it once had a rip that was mended by original owner with flocking of sorts. This spot lays a bit oddly on model, I think because her hips are a tad big for the dress, but the fabric is also stiff here. I don’t think this would be an issue if hips where smaller. Please refer to photos. There also looks like there was some mending done to the collar near the waist, one spot lays within the seam, while the other side sits atop the seam. Despite the issues and subsequent mending, it seams perfectly wearable.
