1960s Vintage Vera Maxwell Blue and White Dress and Coat Set - Sm to Md
This is a beautiful spring transitional dress and coat set. The coat is perfect to layer with in the chilly mornings. And the shorter sleeve dress is great for once it warms up. The lovely colors and deep cut neckline are so elegant. And the ruffles are just so fresh! The outer shell fabric of the jacket and dress feels like a brushed and woven silk. There is a bit of shine to it as well, indicating some other fabric is woven in I think. The white ruffled fabric is also silk. Both the dress and jacket are fully lined. The dress zips up the back, the coat buttons up the front. Tag says “Vera Maxwell”. This would best fit a modern Small or maybe a Medium. Model is Modern size 4/6.

Bust: up to 36 inches (there is a deep V so its somewhat accommodating)
Waist: 29/30 inches
Hips: 39 inches
Length: 39 inches
Sleeve Length: 7.5 inches
Measurements of Coat:

Hips: 41 inches
Length: 39.5 inches
Sleeve Length: 19 inches not cuffed
Good Vintage Condition - There is some overall wear to both pieces. The dark blue area has some overall wear and pilling, though it is more of a brushed silk look anyway so its not too noticeable from afar (I have provided a few images of this to demonstrate this as best as I could). Faint marking/ discoloration to the ruffled white silk. I was able to lighten it a lot, but not get it out entirely. There is one small area of shredding to the white ruffled collar of the dress (please see photo). There are also some underarm markings/bleaching that I could not fix for the dress. A few small loose threads that don’t impact wear. There looks to be a ripped out tag in the dress as well.
