1960s Vintage Nan Leslie Burnt Redish-Burgundy Shirt Waist Dress with Belt - Md to Lg

$95.00

A lovely shirtwaist dress that could easily become your next wardrobe staple. The color is a deep burnt red, almost burgundy in color to my eye. The dress snaps and buttons partially in the front. It features belt loops and has original belt! Label is for Nan Leslie. There is not content tag, but it feels like cotton. Would likely best fits modern Large, possibly a Medium, but please see measurements. For reference model is modern size 4/6.

Measurements :

  • Bust: 40 inches

  • Waist: 30 inches

  • Hips: relatively open given the fit and flare style, but about 42 inches to keep pleating in tact)

  • Length: 41 inches (measured from back of collar straight down)

  • Sleeve Length: 10 inches cuffed

  • Belt: between 32 and 36 inches with the current holes

Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. A few loose threads and teeny pulls here and there as well as wear to the inner seam allotments, as expected and none of this seems to impact wearability. The dress does have a few small spots that did not come out with cleaning, but most of this seams to be around where the belt sits. Some wear to belt with markings present as well as wear to the metal portion of belt. There is some wear to the buttons holes. Super faint discoloration to the underarms that did not even show up on camera. Wear to tag.

Just a heads up that you may need to re-press that pleats after shipment as I have found from experience they tend to get a bit messed up when folded in a package.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
