1960s Vintage Blue Front Zip Shift Chambray with Garden Novelty Printed Large Pockets - Sm to Md

$45.00

Super fun and unique vintage sheath style house dress. The item is a blue chambray-like fabric. It zips up the front with metal zipper and features really large pockets. The best part of this piece are the watering cans on the pockets- a very unique print and great for your favorite gardener! There is no label or size tag. It is meant to be a loose comfy fit and as such would likely best fit a modern Small or possibly a Medium. There is no give to the fabric! Model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is modern Medium for reference - dress form does not have any hips though - for yor reference!

Measurements :

  • Bust: 37 inches

  • Waist: 36 inches

  • Hips: 40 inches

  • Length: 34 inches

Fair vintage condition- While the dress presents beautifully, especially in photos and it is still wearable as is, there is still some significant overall wear to the piece and fabric likes to wrinkle! Most significantly is the color fade/discoloration to the dress both to the fabric overall, as well as the paint of the watering can print on the pockets. This is pretty significant and the reason why I would denote this “fair”. The piece still functions fine though and the zipper still works, but fabric is worn - as though it has been washed MANY MANY times. I have tried to demonstrate this as best as possible in the photos, but the fabric makes it a bit difficult. Additionally, there are still some spots on the dress that I could not get out with cleaning. The yarn for the zipper and the interior seam allotments also show wear. Some wear to pocket seam. Sold as is - may be best for costume or study.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
