DESIGNER 1960s Vintage Geoffrey Beene Bonwitt Teller Navy Blue Silk Baby Doll Dress with Pockets - Sm
This would be the sweetest dress for a chilly Spring day or honestly for an artist in their studio! The dark blue (feels like silk) is paired so well with the bold white buttons. The babydoll style dress with large front pockets makes this both fashion forward and functional! The dress partially buttons in the front and features a tie at the collar. Label is from the coveted Geoffrey Beene 60s label, but is also includes a label from Bonwitt Teller. It would likely best fit a modern Small, but please see measurements! For reference model is a modern 4/6.

Measurements:
Bust: 38 inches (model is a modern 34b for reference)
Waist: 29 inches (again this is baby-doll style with a higher waist that fits more along ones ribs!!)
Hips: 44 inches (to keep the center fold over in tact)
Length: 42 inches (from back of collar, down)
Sleeve Length: 26 inches
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. There are a few areas of marks to the piece that would not come out. The dress looks like it was once hemmed significantly shorter (based upon the crease that would not come out and a few tiny pinholes from past stitches). I thought about re-hemming it but felt that it looked REALLY bulky, so I will leave that up to you as I truly don’t know if the shorter length is how it was meant to be originally. There are also a few small wear spots or pinholes in addition to those found from the hem stitching. There is wear to both the inner seam allotments and the inner lining. The buttons on the sleeve do not match those on the front and the front buttons show discoloration. A few random white threads near seams - honestly likely from the original store tags. Last picture shows hem currently - inside and out.
