1970s 1980s Navy Blue Channel Rainwear Trench Style Coat with Removable Alpaca Liner - Md to Lg

$115.00

This late 70s or early 80s coat or trench-like style jacket is a great piece to keep you warm all winter long! The simple navy blue coat is lined with alpaca. Incredibly the liner can be removed easily with the inside zipper, making this coat perfect too for Spring and Fall weather. This buttons up the front and has pockets. Label is for Channel and does say rainwear, so it may in fact be usable in rain (I have not tested this with washing though as I got it dry-cleaned)! Labeled a vintage size 10 Petite, but it would likely best fit modern Medium maybe a Large, but as always please refer to measurements. Remember too, you want coats to be a bit loose to accommodate the clothing underneath. This coat in particular is meant to be looser, more of a work coat. The coat is thick when the alpaca liner is in there, so keep that in mind when considering measurements and sizing. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference and fit comfortably with liner, especially considering the shoulders.

Measurements:

  • Bust: 40 inches; 42 when pulled taught (remember the inner liner though!)

  • Waist: 42 inches; 44 when pulled taught (remember the inner liner though!)

  • Hips: 44 inches (remember the inner liner though!)

  • Sleeve Length: 22 inches

  • Length: 40.5 inches (measured from back of collar and down)

Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the piece. Mainly its just a bit color faded throughout, like what is expected after something has been worn and washed multiple times. Some creases from dry cleaning (see pocket flap). There are a few loose threads that do not seem to impact wear. A few areas where seams seem to have been repaired in the past. I did notice that there is some unstitching to the base of the pocket flaps, but it is uniform on both sides and almost looks like it was intentional, so I left it as is.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
