RARE 1960s 1970s Vintage Samuel Robert Gold & Turquoise Quilted Tapestry Style Coat with Leather Trim - Md to Lg

$175.00

This coat is absolutely incredible- in all my years collecting vintage coats I have never seen one like it!! The color is a combination of turquoise blue and marigold and it’s done in a very MOD silhouette. The fabric feels almost like a tapestry, though it’s not too heavy. It is edged in a turquoise leather - which is also what the buttons are covered in! This piece even has pockets! It would likely best fit a medium to Large. This piece even has pockets! It would likely best fit a medium to Large because I do think it’s meant to be a bit of a looser look. Model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is a modern Medium for reference. Label is for Samuel Roberts.

Measurements:s

  • Bust: 42 inches

  • Waist: 44 inches

  • Hips: 45 inches

  • Length: 39 inches

  • Sleeve Length: about 19 inches (there is no seam to measure from on the shoulder)

Good vintage condition - There is some overall wear to the piece, but it presents beautifully. Marks, discoloration, and wear is most noticeable on the leather trim and buttons of the piece. I have cleaned it to the best of my abilities, but very little of the discoloration lifted. Additionally, there is some spots and areas of discoloration to the inner lining, most notably just below the tag and some writing on the actual tag. A few loose threads here and there that do not seam to impact wear. Because of the leather and thicker fabric, its overall a bit stiff or rigid, not really a flaw, but just know that it will need to be hung asap after shipping as it should not be folded for long!

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
