1980s Vintage Pauline Trigere Black Wool Winter Coat with Red Trim - Sm
WOW! An incredible piece from the designer Pauline Trigere. Her garments were known for sophisticated and structured tailoring -- always elegant but never frilly or too fussy! This incredible 1980s coat is a great example of her work. This piece is made of a what I think is heavy wool, lined in satin. This classic black winter coat is such a wonderful piece- versatile and classically elegant - but the hints of red trim along the collar, pockets, and sleeves add a fun little aspect transforming this coat into what one would expect in a Trigere design. Tagged a vintage size 4. There are even deep functional pockets! Coat buttons up the front. Best fits sizes Small, maybe up to a Medium, but please look at shoulder measurement in photos! Model is modern size 4/6 and a dress form is a modern Medium.

Good vintage condition - Overall wear. There is some wear to the top button, though most of the time this likely wouldn’t even be buttoned. The tag on the coat is also frayed. A few holes and wear spots to the red wool underneath of the collar. Other areas of minor wear to the wool, especially at the edge of sleeves, the pockets, and the button holes. Some slight pilling to fabric as well throughout. And some minor spotting to the hem.
