1980s Vintage Pauline Trigere Black & Creamy Tan Chevron Coat with Bow - Sm to Md

$115.00

WOW! An incredible piece from the designer Pauline Trigere. Her garments were known for sophisticated and structured tailoring -- always elegant but never too fussy! This incredible 1980s coat is a great example of her work. The classic creamy tan and black chevron pattern play off so well against the added bow and unique pleating structure. The bow CAN be easily removed via snaps if its too frilly for you. For a longer coat, its actually a bit lighter weight, making it a great option for warmer winter climates or the Fall and Spring Seasons in the colder north. Fabric feels like cotton to me, but is lined. It even has pockets! Label is for Pauline Trigere- their 80s label. Tagged a vintage size 10. It would likely best fit modern Small to Medium, but as always please refer to measurements. Remember too, you want coats to be a bit loose to accommodate the clothing underneath. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference.

Measurements:

  • Bust: 38 inches

  • Waist: 38 inches

  • Hips: 40 inches

  • Sleeve Length: 23 inches

  • Length: 45 inches (measured top of collar and then down)

Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the piece. The fabric does haver some piling and wear, but it also does have a texture to it too so the wear is not too obvious in my opinion. The bow has some minor wear and does like to bend and flop some. It can be easily removed though from the coat. The top button does not match the rest - though its not too obvious, especially when the bow is hiding it. Some minor wear to the button holes.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
