Antique Black Pink and Blue Glass Beaded Bag
For the collector - a glass beaded purse, likely from the 1920s though possibly older. The bag is predominately comprised of black beads - including the handle- though there is an interesting geometric pattern in blue and pink as well. The purse closes a with a kiss clasp. The details upon the clasp are botanical in nature. I am uncertain of the metal of the purse frame, though it is silver tone. No maker stamp could be found.

Approximate Measurements:
5.5 inches across x 6 inches high (without handle)
Good antique condition- For its age this item is in good condition but it is delicate. But I highly recommend since it is a collectors piece that it is used sparingly (if at all) and stored with proper archival techniques. There is some general wear and tarnish on the metal clasp. The beads are slightly discolored in places and some ares are coming loose, though it does not look like any are missing or have come off fully. There is some wear to fabric and thread where the handle meets the metal clasp, though it still seems secure but it is delicate. Internally it looks as though there was once silk lining the wool - you can see tiny remnants of it at the edges of the interior. But whatever was there, is no gone - likely shattered given its age. The interior is a bit discolored.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
