RARE 1950s 1960s Novelty Vintage Cream Cardigan with Bug Pattern Embroidery - Md to Lg
A lovely and rare pattern of embroidery - BUGS!!! Super cute cream knit with a great theme for spring or your favorite entomologist! The fun little bugs are added on in a very interesting way (you can see the reveres of one in photos). Label is for Saks and Cyn Les (if I am reading that correctly). There are hook and eye closures up the front as well as at the sides. Knit content is lambs wool, angora, and nylon. Would likely best fit a modern Medium or Large. Model is modern size 4/6 and dress form size 8 for reference. There is some give to the knit.

Measurements :
Bust: 39 inches
Hem: 36 inches (when side slit hook and eye are hooked)
Length: 20 inches
Shoulder Length: 19 inches
Good Vintage Condition - Some overall wear to the piece. Some evidence of mending at one or two worn spots. A few very small worn spot that are not holes yet. There are a number of faint markings to the piece both inside and out. I have done a number of treatments to reduce the number of these spots as well as lessen their appearance - it is WAY better than it was, but some faint marks still remain. Some wear and tiny pinholes to lining. I don’t know if this was intentional from manufacture, but there seems to be a bit of an excessive amount of lining.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
