1960s Vintage Emma Domb Wedding or Formal Gown with Sequins- XXS to XS

$225.00

One of my favorite labels for vintage gowns - the Emma Domb label consistently made beautiful pieces. This gorgeous vintage off-white 60s gown is no exception. It could easily be worn as a wedding gown or formal event gown. The lovely sequined detailing along the bodice and skirt add such a level of elegance. The fabric feels like some sort of taffeta. There is an added crinoline underneath to give a hint of volume to the skirt. You can somewhat see this top of the built in crinoline skirt in the images - to get rid of that white line, I would recommend wearing another slip underneath. The piece zips up the back with nylon zipper. Label for Emma Domb. Would likely best fit an Extra Small, or Extra Extra Small - but please see measurements. Model is modern size 4/6 and could not zip it up all the way on her (the zipper does work!). Dress form is size 0 and it fits perfect on form.

Nightgown Measurements:

  • Bust: 32 inches max

  • Waist: 23/ 24 inches - there is absolutely no give to fabric

  • Hips: relatively open

  • Length: 53 inches

  • Sleeve Length: 5 inches

Good Vintage Condition - Some overall wear to item. A few loose threads here and there. All the sequins look to be in tacked. There are a few areas with teeny tiny pinholes found as well as very minimal seam pulls (see photos). There were a few very tiny marks found as well as VERY VERY minor discoloration that is hardly noticeable. Minor wear to the crinoline underneath - it looks like it was cut a tiny bit at the hem to minimize any ripped pieces (common for crinolines). you cannot tell with crinoline when garment is worn. It has been steamed but there are still very very minor spots of creasing to fabric. The fabric will obviously be somewhat wrinkled after shipping - I will do my best with packaging to minimize this, but i highly recommend hanging it as soon as it is received.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
