1960s 1970s Vintage Tobias White Leather Dress with Belt - Md

$135.00

Wow! This fun off-white leather dress is such a unique and cool piece for summer! Plus the pearlescent buttons and awesome pockets are such a great touch! The dress buttons up the front. You could also use the belt to tie at the waist. Its fully lined so you don’t have to feel the heavy leather against your skin. Label is for Tobias, though there is no size tag. I believe it’s from the 60s or 70s. Would likely best fit a modern Medium. Model is modern size 4/6.

Nightgown Measurements:

  • Bust: 38 inches

  • Waist: 38 inches

  • Hips: 40 inches

  • Length: 38 inches

Good Vintage Condition - Presents Beautifully, especially considering its vintage white leather but there are a number of smaller issues to the piece.First, overall wear to item with an overall discoloration/greying to the leather - I cleaned and conditioned the piece as best as I could and was able to brighten it up a lot, BUT not fully unfortunately - please note under the big bright studio lights this greying does not show up in photos with model and dress form. Some areas of discoloration are worse than others (around underarms and pockets). Overall there are areas of wear, creasing, spotting and minor scratching to the leather of both the belt and dress. The interior lining has some minor markings too. The flip side of the leather has its original red stamp from manufacture - you cant see this on the garment when worn. A few loose threads that don’t seam to impact wear. To me, the garment has a faint smell of treated leather and while no one else in my household could smell it, I think it worth mentioning. There are small holes on either side of the garment where the belt hooks were (they were disintegrated so I removed them) you could always add something back to hold the belt in place.

All measurements are approximate - taken flat and doubled where needed (bust, waist, hips) unless otherwise stated. An items conditions is summarized above, but for more information outlining what to expect within each condition category type and what this means please refer to my FAQ & Policies page.
