1960s Vintage Light Mint Green Evening Formal Gown with Chiffon Puff Bishop Sleeve - Sm to Md
Such a beautiful pastel green 60s maxi gown! The elegant chiffon sleeves and collar give such an ethereal feel to this piece. The beautiful detailed beading o the front is such a nice touch too. The fabric of the body of the garment feels like brushed silk, while the sleeves and collar are a lovely chiffon. Body of dress is lined. Zips up the back with a metal zipper. You can even tie the long chiffon tails behind the back so you hid the zipper seam! Sleeves have snap closures. No garment label was found. Based upon how the piece is constructed, I believe the chiffon to be added after market, though regardless it was done by a skilled person. Would likely best fit a size Small to Medium, it is a shift style so you do want it somewhat loose. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference.

Waist: 32 inches
Hips: 40 inches
Length: 56 inches
Sleeve Length: 23inches
Good vintage condition - Overall wear to the piece. A few loose threads here and there that don’t seem to impact wear, but the body fabric does have an overall “brushed” look. The beading looks to be in good shape, a few look somewhat loose, but they look reinforced. A few marks and discoloration on the fabric, the most notable is on the back and also along the fold of the hem fold as well as some faint mark on the chiffon at the collar bone. There are a few very very minor pulls and pinholes to some spots of the chiffon. The extra fabric in the seam allotments and where the two fabrics meet is fraying somewhat for both the silk and the chiffon - but it doesn’t seem to impact wear.
Please note, up close photos of flaws had to be over-saturated to demonstrate issues, the actual color of the garment is like that in the more full body pictures of the garment.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
