1940s 1950s Vintage Light Pink Low Waist Folded Boat Neck Evening Formal Gown - Sm
This stunning gown has so many wonderful and unique elements! First the folded boat neck collar, coupled with the low waist creates the most stunning silhouette! The fabric overlay is a stunning semi-opaque pink (likely synthetic - though I really can’t tell what it is specifically). It is lined too. The added bow details in the back really complete the look. Zips up the back with a metal zipper. No labels or size tags found. Based on style and construction it could be either from the mid to late 40s or early 50s. Would likely best fit a modern Small. For reference model is modern size 4/6.

Measurements:
Bust: 35 inches
Waist: 27 inches (measured at natural waist)
Hips: abou 46 inches
Length: 56 inches
Sleeve Length: 5 inches
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. The largest issue is a mended rip (mended with what appears to be flocking) to the exterior fabric (last picture). It does not seem too obvious when worn given the extra fabric in the skirt. A few pin holes and wear spots in the fabric also found. There are a few loose threads here and there that do not seem to impact wearability. Some expected wear to inner seam allotments. There is also some minor discoloration as well as some marks to the piece here and there - this also includes a small slightly darker pink spot near the hem that was really difficult to capture with photos as well as spots on the hem of the inner lining. Fabric does like to wrinkle so hang it up as soon as you receive it.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
