1960s Vintage Light Pink Maxi Formal Gown With Bow Detail - Xs to Sm
This lovely 60s light pink formal gown would make an excellent piece for a guest at a wedding or formal event. The silhouette is enhanced by the high under-bust floral detailing that wraps around to the back and ends in a bow. The piece zips up with a metal zipper and snaps in the back. There is no label. The outer dress fabric feels like a woven cotton. To get the very structured look though, the skirt portion is lined with a very think synthetic fabric that almost feels like flocking. I personally would either wear a slip or cut this out- but its up to you. It would likely best fit between a modern Extra Small and Small. For reference model is modern size 4/6 was a bit tight in the stomach area AND the ribs!!!!!! I recommend you check your under-bust measurement.

Measurements:
Bust: 34 inches account for bust darts (seems like it needs a bullet bra based on shape of bust) model is wearing a 34b bullet bra in the images for reference.
Under-bust: 28 inches (measured at the floral under-bust fabric)
Waist: 26 inches (measured at natural waist)
Hips: 37 inches
Length: 57 inches
Sleeve Length: 6 inches
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. There are a few areas of faint marks to the piece and discoloration to the hem - while cleaning minimized them, they did not come out fully. I tried to show these as best as I could in images provided but it was difficult. As said above, you may want to take out the inner fabric to give the skirt structure - it is heavy and synthetic. Additionally the skirt portion likes to wrinkle and fold under because of this fabric- so I recommend you hang it up as soon as receive your package!
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
